Eye Checkup

Ashviqha's Posting:

I went for an eye checkup today with Dr. Manoj Sajnani in KJMC. Mommy was trying to get a Paediatric Opthamologist but she couldn't. Some promised to let her know but as usual they can be hopeless at times! Basically Mommy knew that she shouldn't be delaying the checkup as I was regularly complaining of headache and itchiness.

Mommy said I should give a try with this Opthamologist even though she knows that EYE matter is always been a sensitive one to me. Well, when I entered...saw the good looking doctor awaiting me with a smile...
'Good morning sweetie'...'Wow you've got beautiful eyes'....
First he offered me some sweets. I was so happy, I don't think I need a Paediatric Opthamalogist, after all it's the same procedure!! I felt comfortable with this doctor because we talk the same language.
He checked my eyes and confirmed that my eyesight is normal. But there's some growth(papillae) on my upper lid which causes itchiness. Well, he advised me to stop rubbing my eyes because the round eye, shaped like a football might turn into a rugby ball or in medical terms they call it 'astigmatism'.

Next appointment in 2 weeks time after completing some medications.

Song Mania

Levinkha's Posting:

Mommy just called PaPa who is still in the Island of Sakhalin. Eventhough my vocabulary is getting stronger each day but I just refused to talk because i got too excited to hear PaPa's voice from the lap top. I was speechless!!

I'm sure PaPa misses my voice...so I decided to sing him my favourite song Twinkle!Twinkle! PaPa was pretty amazed with my talent. I must thank Akka for this, she's a wonderful teacher!....and of course I'm a fast learner:)

Currently I’m working on ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ and the song ‘Are You Sleeping’ is about 90% completed. I can go with any song except that 'unique' or shall I call it 'scary music' such as Mozart's Music. Mommy claims that it helps to boost brain development and got hold of few CDs. But to be frank, the music sounds scary and I never liked it at all.
I guess Mommy should have introduced it even during my foetus-hood days...

MOM's Song...

Ashviqha's Posting:

I came across a brilliant MOM's Song with superb lyrics...As if dedicated specially for Mommy.

...that was awesome! This is so my mom...especially, "IT MUST BE YOUR FATHER'S DNA"

Mommy doesn't need to sing like this. She already sounds like it everyday. Haha..

Wedding Bells

Ashviqha's Posting:

Last Saturday I attended Aunty Shobie's (mmm...sounds glamour ya !) wedding in Ipoh. It was a colourful night or shall I call it a 'Bhangra Nite'..LOL:) I was dressed in striking yellow 'pattu pavadai'. A little of lipstick, a little of eyeshadow...mmm I seldom get the chance to touch Mommy's makeup set but the other day Mommy was soooo generous.

The wedding took place in Ipoh town at about 6.40pm. We were there earlier waiting for the bride to arrive. Aunty Shobie looked so marvelous! I was pretty jealous to see her purple pinkish saree..what else can I can say? Purple and pink are my favourite colours. I told Mommy that I would love to get a pink or purple saree for my wedding in future. Ooops...Mommy gave a funny look...is it too early to discuss about my wedding saree!!

The wedding ceremony took about 1 and 1/2 hours. Mommy gave me some yellow rice to throw (bless) at the Bride and Groom. I asked Mommy the reason for blessing the couple with yellow rice. She gave plenty of explanation but I only picked up 2 ...I think Patti did not tell her the reason for this when she was young or she wasn't smart enough to ask the question....LOL:P

After the wedding ceremony they cleared the floor for a dancing session. Ohoooooo! I was really excited. I had my gang there so I was having fun running around rather than dancing. Then we went to Manju Attai's house for some ceremony which took about an hour.

We were back in Thata's house about 11.30pm and the next thing I knew was zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Some of the captured moments:
